Last night as I said, I intended going to bed early and in fact I did but next door to the hotel is an open air bar that plays music into the night. I couldn't really hear it but my bike was parked next to the entrance and I couldn't stop worrying. I got dressed and went to the bar where I sat with just a bottle of water on a low wall near my bike. About midnight three fellas turned up on bikes and they stood near where I was sat. They didn't attempt to go to the bar but straight away the owner called one of his staff to serve them. Eventually they started talking to me and when they found I was a biker they really opened up. They had a look at my bike and noticed the United badge on the number plate. This got them talking about their team Dinamo Zagreb. I thought they would have supported Hajduk Split but it turns out they are from Zagreb and have an apartment here. They also informed me that they support Millwall as well and are Hell's Angels. Great!!
They were actually fine with me and the next time their drinks were refilled they insisted on getting me one and every other time too. They wouldn't let me pay at all. They said that they would probably go to the bike party on Saturday as that is the best night. The club closed at two but we stayed there getting served until about four but it was when the one who appeared to be the leader said 'Englishman do you want us to give you a girl for free' that I thought it was time I said my goodbyes. I politely declined and a short while later said goodnight. Just another night on this trip.
This morning I washed Blackie ready for her party tonight and then I walked to the beach for a peaceful day sleeping and swimming. The sea is so clear here. I must have been in a depth of about twenty feet at one time and I could still see the bottom clearly.
Obviously I didn't get up for my run and so I am going to go and do one now before I go out.
See ya
Robert
Roberto! You are turning into a Hell's Angel behind my back! Good job you had the bike with you or they might have eaten you for a snack. I do not want to hear about your bottom in the sea - it is too much information. Hope the party goes with a swing and you live to update your blog. This is turning into a Journey and I can't wait for the next instalment. Keep your hand on your halfpenny and your knickers on. Rock and Roll!! Chris. xx
